These terms govern your use of the mi‑SOS service: the online portal, QR-coded wristbands and pet tags, and the emergency information pages they link to. By creating an account or using a mi‑SOS product you agree to these terms.
mi‑SOS lets you store personal and medical information and make the parts you choose available to anyone who scans your QR code. mi‑SOS is an information service: it is not a medical device, an emergency response service, or a substitute for calling the emergency services. In an emergency, always call 999 (or your local emergency number) first.
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You may create profiles for children, relatives or pets in your care, and you are responsible for having the right to share their information. Keep your password secure and your details accurate. In an emergency, out-of-date information can be worse than none.
The Free plan includes one profile with basic features. Premium is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; your Premium features remain active until the end of the paid period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted when a subscription lapses. Bands and tags are sold separately and are one-off purchases.
Each band or tag carries a unique QR code linked to one profile. You may return unused bands within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Faulty bands will be replaced free of charge. Normal wear and tear is not a fault; the QR plate is designed to remain scannable through everyday use.
You must not use mi‑SOS to store information about someone without authority to do so, to impersonate another person, to publish unlawful content, or to interfere with the operation or security of the service. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
We work to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. A scan requires a working phone and an internet connection. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from events outside our reasonable control, from information you have entered incorrectly, or from a responder's inability to scan a band. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
How we collect and protect your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time; we will give you notice of material changes by email or in the portal. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions? Contact [email protected] or call 01670 818 229.
